Hello, and welcome to Wings of Wisdom. My name is Angela Lewis, and my life’s work sits at the intersection of education, advocacy, and equine-assisted learning.
I am a certified general education (EC-6) and special education (EC-12) teacher with extensive experience supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, and emotional needs. Over the years, I’ve served in both general education classrooms and specialized settings, where I’ve learned that true growth happens when students are understood, supported, and empowered—not just taught. My passion lies in helping children and families navigate educational systems with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
Alongside my work in education, horses have been a lifelong part of my journey. From growing up riding and competing in 4-H to training my own barrel horse and qualifying in the top 15 at the NBHA Finals at age 16, horses have shaped who I am. They’ve taught me patience, leadership, emotional regulation, and resilience—lessons that deeply influence how I approach teaching and advocacy today.
Through faith-centered equine-assisted learning, I blend these two worlds together. Horses offer a powerful, non-judgmental way to build confidence, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and trust—especially for students who may struggle in traditional classroom environments. This approach allows learning to happen in a meaningful, experiential way that reaches the whole child.
Wings of Wisdom was created to support students, families, and educators through:
- Educational advocacy and guidance
- Behavior and SEL-focused support
- Tutoring and academic skill development
- Equine-assisted learning experiences rooted in growth and empowerment
At the heart of everything I do is the belief that every child has potential and every family deserves support. My goal is to help students spread their wings—academically, emotionally, and personally—while walking alongside families as a trusted advocate and guide.
